We added a new team member at the end of June. A new little sister for Lulu and Zelda. Her sisters adore her and so do we.
Jemima was born at 35 weeks. She spent two weeks in the special care nursery until she had regained her birth weight. She fed well from the beginning with just tube feds to top her up. After the first 10 days we switched the remaining tube feeds to bottles and she still has bottles at night time.
The nursery wasn't so bad this time. Knowing what to expect and already having a plan helped ease that feeling of 'will we ever get out of here?' Plus we knew some of the nurses from last time. To be honest, spending the days with Jemima in the nursery gave me the rest time I needed to then be able to be 'mum' at home in the evenings, bringing back normalcy for the other girls.
Jemima had a little trouble with day and night confusion but that seems to have sorted itself out. It's weird but baby number 3 seems to just slot right into the mix. Maybe it's the confidence that comes from having had two babies already or maybe it's just that my pregnancy was so bad that everything seems so much better now!
Welcome to the world little Jemima, we are so glad you are here xx
