So Lulu totally called me out about the lack of nursery prep for the new baby. Im 35 weeks now. The baby could come at anytime and we do not have a room ready for her.
There are a number of reasons for this. Our house is quite small and the room that was Zelda's nursery is now a playroom / still has a change table and a cot in it. The cot doesn't have a mattress as Zelda is still using it in the bottom bunk. It will be at least two months or more after the baby is born that the baby will even need a cot.
A friend that purchased our moses basket has leant it back to us, so I think the baby's nursery will be much more like the photo in the top right corner. A moses basket on a stand in our room for the next few months. Wont take too long to set up on the day we come home from hospital, will it?
If we were to do a proper nursery for this bubba, here is a few images of nursery's that have caught my eye:
I can see a leafy pink theme happening here. With a little bit of yellow. I love the wallpaper in the first photo. The soft pinks and eames rocker are just divine in photo three. I have a faux eames rocker that I picked up from kmart for the margin price of $15 not long after Zelda was born. It will get a workout this time round. Banana cost sheets, are just bananas! Love them.
