Remember that time we bought a burrito shop?
Last July we took the plunge and became business owners. With Nick's stint at his family business coming to an end, he had various thoughts about what steps he might like to take next. His background is in film and tv and starting a media company was one idea (one that could still happen). Around the time that he seriously started looking at his next steps, the fairly new local burrito shop, Loco Burrito, went on the market. The owners, who had started the business from scratch, had moved interstate to take on a new challenge there and after running the business from interstate for almost a year, they had decided to sell, rather than continue the business from afar.
Loco Burrito specialises in slow cooked meat, tex-mex style. They slow cook the beef for over 18 hours, yet your burrito is served up super quick. Slow cooked fast food. Loco Burrito also has tasty vegetarian and vegan options and the majority of the food is made fresh daily, no preservatives in sight. Nick and I both love tex-mex food and have been fans of Loco Burrito ever since it opened. You may have spotted it taking a coveted place on my Eat Drink Shop Alice Springs map!
An established business, with an amazing manager, in our favourite take-away food category was too good to pass up. Loco Burrito is the perfect fit for us. The 'lover of tex-mex' in my bio has been taken to another level here, by spreading the tex-mex love to all our wonderful customers. If you are ever in Alice Springs, pop by Loco Burrito and have the tastiest burrito you have ever had.
