Renovations - The Toilet Before and After

Toilet Before and After
Remember back in April when I said we were having the toilet tiled and a new loo installed? Well that happened when I said it did but we hadn't finished painting the room until now. A word of advice,  if your toilet is removed and you have an evening free, just paint the toilet then and there, otherwise it becomes too much trouble. Once the plumber installs the new toilet and the tiles are laid, you really don't want to be painting on top of all that fresh work. Much easier to do beforehand.
Toilet Before
Toilet Before and AfterThe week the toilet was removed I had done my back in & couldn't lift anything. There was no way painting was going to happen. And after the toilet was installed I couldn't manoeuvre a ladder in close enough to do the high sections on the wall so I needed to wait until Nick was free, but with him working most Saturdays, mountain bike competitions, the garden (the mammoth job of installing a new sprinkler system, see trench in this post), installing new blinds (the list goes on) a other job free weekend did not come around until the weekend before last when 'we' just got it done, with me keeping Lulu occupied while Nick painted.

Now I can proudly show off our new loo:

We did the painting but the installation of the toilet & the tiling was left to the professionals!
